How do I book a furniture removal?

Do I need to disassemble my furniture before removal?
Our team can disassemble most types of furniture as part of the service. If you prefer to have it done yourself, let us know, but we can handle it for you to make the process easier.
How do you protect my furniture during the removal process?
Our team uses protective padding, blankets, and straps to ensure your furniture is safe and secure throughout the removal process.
How much will furniture removal cost?
Prices vary depending on the size of the job, the number of items, and the distance we need to travel. For a more accurate estimate, we offer free quotes based on your specific needs.
What is a shuttle service and when is it required?
A shuttle service is used when our large removal truck can’t access your property directly. This may happen if:
- There are access restrictions (e.g. narrow roads, low-hanging trees, gated communities).
- The walking distance between where we can legally/physically park and your home is more than 50 meters.
In these cases, we use a smaller vehicle (the shuttle) to transport your furniture between your home and the main truck.
Important: If you think your property may require a shuttle, please let us know during booking so we can plan accordingly. Additional charges may apply for shuttle services.
What types of furniture do you remove?
We remove all types of furniture including sofas, chairs, tables, beds, cabinets, dressers, appliances, and more. If it’s large or bulky, we’ll find a way to remove it for you.
How many workers will be handling my move?
Each move is carried out by a team of 5 professionals:
- 1 driver
- 4 experienced removal workers

Do you offer same-day or emergency removals?
Yes! We offer same-day removal services depending on availability. Please contact us as soon as possible to check if we can accommodate your urgent request.
Do you drive through the night?
No, for safety reasons, we do not drive through the night.
Our drivers rest at secure, designated truck stops to ensure the safety of your belongings and our team. This also helps us stay compliant with road safety regulations and guarantees a reliable service.
Will my furniture be insured during the removal?
Liability insurance included in the event of any claim for loss or damage against Albertinia Furniture Removal is limited to a maximum of R400 000.00. This is only in case of fire, collision, overturning or high jacking while transporting furniture. If this value exceeds the liability limit, as above, additional insurance must be obtained by the client.
Please note: Albertinia Furniture Removal cannot be held responsible for boxes/containers packed by clients themselves.
▪ In the case of any loss or damage, the secondhand market-value of the goods will be compensated – as long as it is professionally packed.
What happens if my furniture won’t fit through a door or hallway?
Our team is experienced with tight spaces. If there’s an issue, we may be able to disassemble the item for better access. If not, we will work with you to find the best solution.
